James Rader

James Charles Rader, age 88 of Franklin, TN passed away October 5, 2016. Longtime member of West Main St. Church of Christ. James retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 43 years and was also a Williamson County School Bus Driver for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Lee Rader; sisters, Dorothy Stephenson and Lois Ashworth and brother, Murray Rader. Survived by daughters, Shirley Ann (Pat) Orgain and Sue (Douglas Allen) Pratt; sons, David (Leslie) Rader and Jimmy Rader; brother, Dorris Rader; sister in-law, Virginia Rader; grandchildren, Daniel Rader, Rachel (Josh) Perkins, Meredith Orgain, Paul (Tanya) Orgain, Jaime (Dustin) delValle, Chris (Angie) Pratt, Katie Rader, Jennifer (Jake) Bennett, Torie (Tom) Foshee and Liza Rader; 11 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Steve Peeler and Dan Tholen officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8:00PM Saturday and 2 hours prior to the service. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Grandsons to serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include the Franklin High School Class of 1947 and the Members of West Main Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank Dr. George Crossley III, Dr. Bobby White, Dr. John Seibert; caregivers, Pat Mitchell, Betty Cason, Kitty Trice and Kim Blackwell for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, Willowbrook Hospice or the American Diabetes Association.
