James Smith

Smith, James Lawson, age 63 of Franklin, TN passed away at his home on May 1, 2014. Mr. Smith was born in Richmond, Virginia; graduated from Manchester High School and Virginia Commonwealth University with a BS in Economics and Math. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 until 1974. He is survived by his wife , Suzanne and daughter Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Warner, and cats Desdemona and Caesar. Also surviving is his mother Grace L. Smith and his brother David M. Smith. Additionally , he is survived by niece Danielle (Travis) Leeper, and nephews Timothy G. Adams, Daniel (Alana) Smith and Douglas (Nicole) Smith. He was a devoted family man, and enjoyed traveling, photography, woodworking, military history, reading and loved his right to bear arms.
Family will be receiving friends at the home on Tuesday May 6th at noon. The family requests no flowers and donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or Alzheimer's Association.
