Jim and Jean enjoyed boating. They spent many happy hours on many, many boats. Jim could remember every boat he ever owned (well over 30). He loved buying an old boat that needed care and completely redoing them. He had a eye for design and boats his sons were sure would never be anything but scrap were given new life and enjoyed for years. Over the years, Jim and Jean boated from Tennessee to the Gulf, up the Atlantic coast into Canada and back to Tennessee The water gave them many happy hours. JIm was also a great tease. He loved to tease all the children in his life and was happiest when they teased him right back. He never met a cookie he didn't like. But his greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. He would rather play with the kids than almost anything else. The grandkids are all grown now, but they will still miss him.
Our family wishes to express our great appreciation for all the caregivers and staff at Somerfield Health Center in Brentwood for their outstanding love and compassionate care when Jim’s health deteriorated. We truly cannot thank you enough.
A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
