James Thornton

James Dustin "Dusty" Thornton, age 37 of Franklin, TN passed away March 8, 2016. Graduate of Brentwood High School. He was a captain and a member of the state championship of the Brentwood High School soccer team. Received his Associates Degree from Columbia State Community College. Owner and operator of Thornton Lawncare. He was an avid fisherman and loved the Tennessee Vols. Preceded in death by grandparents, Benjamin Norris Thornton, Virginia Pearre Thornton, Ella Foster Thornton and James "Bill" Black. Survived by: daughter, Emerson Leigh Thornton; parents, Jimmy and Ava Thornton; grandmother, Gloria Allsup; great uncle, Paul Pearre and children Virginia (Paul) Egbert and Joe Pearre; aunts, Robin (Steve) Fulkerson, Cindy Woods , Gayla (Gary) Mandabach, Debby Walls and Terri Hosea; uncle, Steve (Brenda) Garrett, Jerry (Terri) Conner; cousins, Jennifer Graves, Delany Vinson, Dave Waters, Steffany Spry, Stephanie Garrett, Judy McLendon, Peggy Holscher, Karen Richardson, Donna Chapman and other loving family members; special friends, Harold and Linda Simpson. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Grace Chapel Church, 3279 Southall Road, Franklin, TN with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Ron Gosner and Rick Cua will be officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Joe Pearre, Dave Waters, Taylor Parker, Andy Simpson, Zach Simpson , Seth Sweeney, Mike Perfilio and Decker Housley. Honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Boyd.
