Janice Fossen

Janice Louise Murphy Van Fossen, age 63 of Franklin, TN, passed away December 26th, 2016. Loving mother, grandmother, and wife, Janice possessed a peaceful and generous heart and cared for all things with selflessness and compassion, from the myriad wildlife that frequented her home to the family and friends who blossomed under her dedicated care. Her keen and inquiring mind cultivated a lifelong connection with the natural world, literature, music, and the culinary arts. Janice's beautiful smile, gentle nature, and playful spirit brought a light to our world. Her loss will be deeply felt by all those who have been privileged enough to know her. Preceded in death by her father, Felix Murphy. Survived by her mother, Louise Murphy of Franklin, TN; husband, Keith Van Fossen of Franklin, TN; daughter Jessica (Joseph) Redford of Asheville, North Carolina; brother, Pete (Anne) Murphy of Franklin, TN; sisters in-law, Phyllis (Jerry) Vanderburg of Franklin, TN and Colleen Van Fossen of Fairview, TN; granddaughter, Harmony Redford and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, with Memorial to follow at 2:00 PM. Jim Taylor officiating.
