HUGHES, Mrs. Janice Shaw, age 82 of College Grove, TN died February 28, 2014 at Grace Healthcare. Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Born in Davidson County to the late Greer & Sadie K. Holt Shaw. She attended Rover Baptist Church and retired from the Nashville Banner. She also loved to fish. Preceded in death by husband, Buddy Hughes and daughter, Greer Gillespie. Survived by daughter, Julie (Mike) Treadway of College Grove, TN; grandchildren, Beverly (Brian) Derryberry, Jamey (Johnathan) Clifton, Cody (Brittany) Treadway, Scott (Dana) Gillespie and Adam (Jessica) Gillespie; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Austin and Conner Derryberry, Kenzie Schmidt, Cayson Treadway, Chandler & Delanie Gillespie, Trista, Brittany, Hunter and Khloe Gillespie; step great-grandchild, Kayla Butler; best friend, Eva Martin. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Brian Derryberry & Rev. Ronald Grooms officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Mike Treadway, Brian Derryberry, Cody Treadway, Johnathan Clifton, Scott Gillespie, Austin Derryberry, Adam Gillespie and Randy Gillespie. Honorary pallbearers will be Chandler Gillespie, Selby Wright, Jackie Russell, LE McKee, Joe Whidby and Johnny Mack Poteete. Memorials may be made to Avalon Hospice.
