Janice Hughes Swartz, age 67 of Franklin, TN, December 4, 2015. She taught school at College Grove, Bethesda, Oak View, Pinewood and Heritage Elementary schools. After retirement from teaching she became business owner of "The Cellar" on Main Street in Franklin. Preceded in death by parents, Henry Horace & Katherine Givens Hughes and brother, Horace Hughes, Jr. Survived by son, Jacob A. (Melissa) Swartz of Naperville, IL; brother, Jimmy (JoAnn) Hughes of Scottsville, KY; grandchildren, Bastian, Charles & Hayden Swartz. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00AM Monday, December 7, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Dr. Lynn Hill & Regina Spector officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers: Jonathan, Jeff & Jamie Hughes, Dusty Sauter, Dee Richardson and Josh Baker. Honorary pallbearers: Ray Barrett, Ronald Crutcher, Tom McBee and Milton Crowell. Memorials may be made to Franklin First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
