Jeannine Canaan Rose, age 61 of Franklin, TN passed away January 13, 2019. Characterized by an ever-present smile and magnetic personality, Jeannine had a gift with people both in her personal and professional life. She was a constant giver that loved to help others and was able to touch many lives throughout her career as a teacher, non-profit worker and through her various other roles in the community. An always gracious host in her home, she could light up the room with her presence, sense of humor and distinctive ability to make people feel welcome. Adored by her family, she was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was a constant example of love and an inspiration with her positive attitude and ability to find the silver lining in any situation. She loved to be active outside, was an enthusiastic runner in constant physical condition and loved to walk her Schnauzer Gus throughout the parks of Middle Tennessee. An avid reader and a life-long learner, Jeannine graduated with honors from Clemson University in 1979 with a degree in Administrative Management and later completed the Theological Education for Ministry Program from the University of the South in 2002 to enable her to serve people further. Always a Tiger football fan, she and her husband Mike watched Clemson games together for 43 straight years and saw all 3 national championships together. The family wishes to thank all those who came to visit, cook meals and offer their support during her battle with cancer. The number of deep, long-lasting friends that offered their love is a testament to the life she lived and the loving person she was. Preceded in death by parents, John Hisey Jr. and Mary Kerr Canaan.
