Jennie Harris

Harris, Jennie Anne Walker, Age 62 of Franklin, TN died November 2, 2010. Born to J.O. and Nelle Jackson Walker on November 18, 1947. Survived by daughters Chesley (Greg) Simpson, Alexandria, VA and Paige (Henry) Menge, Nashville and grandchildren Walter Joel Simpson II, Charlotte Alexandra Simpson and William Henry Menge; brothers John C.W. Walker and J. Otey (Susan) Walker; sister Roberta (Will) Robertson; nieces and nephews. With a masters degree in education, she shared her curiosity of learning through teaching for 34 years, retiring from the Franklin Special School District in 2009. A loyal friend, she loved sharing stories and had a contagious laughter. Traveling was her passion; she visited all 50 states and most of Europe. Her exuberant life ended unexpectedly while in Greece. She was a founding member of the Historic Franklin Presbyterian Church where visitation will be on Sunday, November 7 from 3-5 and a memorial service on Monday at 2.
