Jimmy Aston Sr.

Jimmy Burch "Pop" Aston Sr, age 89 of Brentwood, TN went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2016. The patriarch of our family, he taught us to work hard, stay humble, serve others and to follow Jesus. He was a member of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ and previously an elder of churches in Muscle Shoals, AL and Chattanooga, TN. Preceded in death by parents, James Archie and Mamie Burch Aston; sister, Carolyn Lewis. He leaves behind his loving wife of 69 years, Betty Corum Aston, who he called his sweetheart until the day he died; son, Jimmy B. (Nancy) Aston Jr.; daughters, Debbie (Frank) McCreary, Kathy (Kerry) Stiles and Karen Ashley; eight close-knit grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren he adored; brother-in-laws, Robert Lewis and Tommy Corum. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Frank McCreary officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7PM Monday and one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held in the Aston Family Cemetery. Family to serve as pallbearers.
