John Janatsch

John J. Janatsch
Age 91, passed away on January 27, 2015 in Franklin, TN. John was born on November 27, 1923 in Trenton, New Jersey and lived with his parents and eight brothers and sisters in the Bronx, New York. John joined the Marine Corps during WWII and served in the Pacific. After his service, John returned to New York where he met the love of his life, Florence and was married in 1948. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. He and Florence moved to Ocala, Florida in 1993 where together they enjoyed 20 years of retirement. They moved to Tennessee in 2013 to be near their daughter.
John is survived by Florence, his wife of 65 years, his daughter Jeanne Rudden, Brentwood, TN, three granddaughters: Kristin Kelley, Jennifer Conway and Kerry Murphey, and three great granddaughters, Jordan, Jenna and Catherine and great grandson, Cooper.
John is preceded in passing to the next life by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
John will be remembered fondly for his wonderful smile and for his love of children. He will be sorely missed by his family and those who knew him well.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will take place at the Williamson Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015 with visitation from 3:00-4:00pm and the service commencing at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name to the Salvation Army, www.salvationarmyusa.org will be greatly appreciated.
