John Douglas Spivey, age 75 of Nashville, TN passed away September 4, 2016. Retired from Canteen Corporation after 40 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Channie & Louella Spivey; brother, Sidney Spivey; sisters, Edna Whitaker and Dean Lawson. Survived by wife, Helen H. Spivey of Nashville, TN; daughter, Michelle (Brian) Ewing of Mt. Juliet, TN; sisters, Marie Bentancourt of Gallatin, TN & Robbie Upchurch of Nashville, TN; grandson, Conner Nathaniel Ewing. Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family & Friends will serve as pallbearers.
