John Richardson Williams, Sr., age 91, lifelong resident of Franklin, TN went to be with the Lord on April 3, 2018. John and his brother, O.F., owned and and operated Williams Brothers Farms, providing custom harvesting throughout Williamson County and surrounding areas. Mr. Williams was the owner of the German family 200 year Century Farm. He and his family have lived in Franklin, TN for eight generations. John spent time in his shop "whittling" the hours away. He made pocket-sized crosses and was delighted to share them with everyone. Mr. Williams served in World War II in the US Army Air Corp. He served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church, Franklin. Preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Fitzallen Williams, Sr. and Laura Mae Richardson Williams; brother, O.F. Williams, Jr.; first wife, Mary Armenia Gillespie Williams; and second wife, Talitha Rainey Whitley Williams. Survived by: son, John Richardson, Jr. (Janice) Williams; grandchildren, MaryLynn Carly and John Joseph "Joey" Williams; sister, Frances Williams Smith; stepdaughters, Andrea (Fred) Luther and Sylvia (Harold) Williams. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ronnie Johnson officiating. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Glenn Houghton, Ken Legg, Mike Bagsby, Joey Williams, Chance Cunningham and Andy Luther. Honorary pallbearers will be Abner Alley, Willard Daniel, John A. Green, Wallace Hadden, Lloyd Shaver and the Sunday School Class.
