Joseph Woodroof, Jr.

Joseph Wheeler Woodroof, Jr., age 88 passed away unexpectedly March 3rd, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Wheeler Woodroof, Sr. and Annie Wharton Woodroof; his first wife, Jo Nell Wallace Woodroof; siblings, Richard Woodroof, Evelyn Spaulding and Anne Alsup. He is survived by his wife, Irma O'Connell Woodroof; his sister, Mary Alice Brackman; step-children Patricia O'Connell (Bruce Pfleger), Mike O'Connell and Matt O'Connell (Kay); seven grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Wheeler enjoyed tending to his greenhouses and vegetable garden and restoring antique automobiles. He will be remembered for his love of people, generosity, and great stories. Funeral services will be held at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, TN on Monday, March 7th, 2016. Visitation is from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., and the service will start at 11:00. Burial to follow at 12:30 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
