Josephine Ponce de Leon Mingle, age 98, of Franklin, TN passed away June 29, 2019. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a degree in Home Sciences and did post graduate work at the University of Miami in Elementary Education and taught for 28 years in Miami, FL. Preceded in death by parents, Jose Ponce de Leon and Maria A. Colon; husband, Benjamin Robert Mingle, PhD; son, Ernest Kearns; and grandchildren, Patrick Kearns and Matthew Wadatz. Survived by daughter, Alicia (James) Wadatz; stepson, Bob (Diana) Mingle; grandchildren, Kymberly Kilmer, Wendy Mingle, Robbie Mingle, Richard Wadatz, Richard Mingle, Dr. Amy Mingle and Ana-Lise Wadatz; and ten great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Richard Wadatz officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Donations to the Police Benevolent Association, Wounded Warriors or the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
