Julia Hamlett

Julia R. Anderson Hamlett of Brentwood, TN was called to her Heavenly home on December 22, 2018. Julia was born to John and Minnie Rainey in Williamson County on November 22. She was one of eleven children. Julia graduated from Williamson County's Hillsboro high school and went on to reside in the Brentwood area. After a lengthy career, she retired from South Central Bell. A member of the Church of Christ, she most recently enjoyed being a part of the Arrington Church of Christ congregation. Julia was beautiful, classy, kind, generous, witty, and fun. She enjoyed all of the finest things in life. Fine furnishings, designer clothes, fine jewelry, luxurious spa treatments and the finest restaurants. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying every moment, whether she was playing cards with friends or traveling the world. Over the years, she had the opportunity to visit Mexico, Amsterdam, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, England, Canada, Czech Republic, and many areas within the US. During these last weeks of her life, Julia took comfort in reciting the Lord's Prayer and Psalm 23. She was a strong Christian woman. She turned to scripture for guidance during trying times. She enjoyed Christian fellowship. She was prayerful, forgiving and faithful. Julia is preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Fred Austin Anderson. Later in life she married James Allen Hamlett who also precedes her in death. She is survived by two sons; Terry (Becky) Anderson and Andy (Karen) Anderson, grandchildren; Brittany (Joseph) Johnson, Jarrod (Rachel) Anderson, Trent (Elisha) Anderson, Wendy Anderson and Stacy Anderson, great grandchildren; Caden Downs, Anders Johnson, Austin Anderson, Tucker Anderson and Colton Kamenca, brother Paul (Mary) Rainey, sister Pearlene Pendergrass, and many extended family members and close friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 1:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Reverend Joseph Johnson officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday and 11:00 AM until service time on Thursday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289 williamsonmemorial.com
