Julie Walling

Julie Lynn Obert Walling, age 60 of Franklin, TN passed away May 8, 2019. Born in Oregon to the late Edward Henderson and Francis Brinkley. Known to her family and all of her adopted children and grandchildren as "Grammy", she was full of strength, laughter and love. She opened her heart and home to all that she met. She had a contagious laugh, a crazy sense of humor and a smile that lit up any room. Her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom will live on as a legacy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Steven G. Walling who passed away just before her on May 2, 2019. Julie is also preceded in death by her son, Denver E. Smith, III. Survived by her children, Connie (Rusty) Sadler, Angie (Jonathan) Gibson, Jessie Obert and Rachel Walling Neill; grandchildren, Christian, Cody, Rhett, Kylie, Isabella, Sophie, Jansen, Cason & Sarah Brook. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Monday, May 13, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to the service. Bobby Sadler will officiate. Graveside service will follow at 2:00PM at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Springfield, TN. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
