HYDE, Mr. Justice, age 93 of Franklin, TN, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 18, 2014. Born in Coopertown, TN. Retired Major of the US Army and National Guard serving during WW II. Employed with Bell South and retired in 1981 as Independent Company Relations Manager. A member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. He loved his church where he served in many active roles including Sunday School Teacher and helped establish the first annual Fish Fry. He was also an active member of the Cool Springs Kiwanis Club and the American Legion. Preceded in death by parents, George Washington and Grace Winters Hyde; sister, Grace V. Hyde; first wife, Rebecca Jagoe Hyde. Survived by wife, Emogene Stephens Ownby-Hyde; daughters, Joanne (Tony) Avans, Jeanne Hyde, Donna (Dan) Buselmeier; sons, Justice (Carolyn) Hyde, Jr., Fred (Beverly) Hyde, Ed (Sheila) Hyde; step children, Susanne (Jimmie) Johnson, Marijane (David) McQuiddy, Jere (Melissa) Ownby, III, Christopher (Cathy) Ownby; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00AM Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Rev. Ryan Bennett, Rev. Edd Templeton, Dr. James Hughes and Rev. David Bradley officiating. Interment, Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Grandsons to serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Debt Reduction Fund. Visitation will be held 4-8:00PM Tuesday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 3009 Columbia Ave. Franklin, TN. 37064. 615-794-2289 www.williamsonmemorial.com
