Kenneth Dennis

Mr. Kenneth Edward Dennis, age 77 of Franklin, TN passed away June 10, 2015 at his home. Born in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1937. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Engineering Group from 1956-1959. He was a Correctional Officer with the state of Maryland for 28 years retiring in July of 1988. A member of The Church at West Franklin. Most of all he was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Trixie May Eddy Dennis; brother, Charles Dennis. Survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Shirley Wolfe Dennis; daughters, Ruth Ann (Mark) Shawyer and Kendra Louise (Mickey) Wyand; step-son, William "Bill" Myers; grandchildren, Grace and Charlotte Myers, Sarah and Shaundra Shawyer, and Samantha Jo Wyand; great grandchildren, Kara Shawyer and Juliana Almonte; brother, James Leroy Dennis; sister, Louise Anderson. A memorial service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. John E. Rush officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Prime Time Bible Class Senior Men at The Church at West Franklin. The family request memorial contributions made to The Church at West Franklin or Alive Hospice.
