Kim Leroy Smith, 67, of Clarksville TN, went to be with Jesus early Sunday morning, October 30th, 2022. His passing at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville was unexpected but peaceful and he was surrounded by family. Kim was born July 5th , 1955, in Elkhart Indiana. The only son of Robert and Ruth (Kimmel) Smith. June 28th , 1986, he married Lynn (Hanks) Smith in Phoenix Arizona. He is the father of four wonderful, young men. Aaron (Nicole), Brandon, Calen, and Curran. He is the grandfather of six, Ryder, Grayson, Asa, Lillia, Tate, and Isabella. He has two sisters, Barb (Steve) Tessitore and Patti (Bill) Blandin. He also has a large and loving extended family. Kim was raised in Phoenix, AZ, having moved there with his family as a young boy. He graduated Phoenix Christian High School in 1973. A man of great faith, Kim lived an incredible life, he was a naturally gifted musician, teaching himself to play many different instruments. He was a song writer and singer playing in Christian bands and serving as a worship leader. He was an entrepreneur, starting two very successful cabinetry businesses from pennies. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, lakes, the beach – all of it. He was an avid golfer from his youth and enjoyed watching all kinds of sports. Most off all, Kim truly loved people and had many wonderful lifelong friends. He was a fantastic storyteller and loved to laugh. He was a kind and generous man, who knew he was saved by grace and therefore willingly gave grace in abundance. Kim will be buried at Williamson Memorial Gardens, Franklin, TN. Burial will be a private family service. A celebration of life to be held in the future.
