Lewis Edmunds

September 25, 1943 — January 15, 2019

Lewis Lea Edmunds, age 75 of Brentwood, TN passed away peacefully January 15, 2019 with his wife by his side. Born in Boston, MA to the late Francis & Helen Lea Edmunds. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served on the USS Intrepid. In 1990 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Tennessee State University. Lea had a long career in the computer technology industry as well as an International Consultant working for companies such as IBM, Xerox, H.J. Wilson and Service Merchandise just to name a few. Preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Edmunds. Lea is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Joann Paradise Edmunds; son, Joel (Shannon) Illch; daughter, Dawn Illch (Robert) Duncan; grandchildren, Riley Duncan and Linus Illch; sister in-law, Monica Edmunds; nephews, Aaron (Valerie) Edmunds, Sean Edmunds and Brendan Edmunds; beloved border collie, R-Bee Bruzer. Special thanks to Dr. Byron Haitas, Dr. David Jarvis, Nurse Kelly & the caring physicians and nurses in the ICU at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Copolo officiating. Burial will follow with military honors at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
