Linda Cotton

Linda Marie Lillard Cotton, age 74 of Arrington, TN passed away September 5, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Linda graduated in 1963 from College Grove High School, where she played basketball and softball. She was employed with National Life Ins. Company for 9 years, she owned and operated Cotton's Market for 15 years in the Rudderville Community and a beloved housewife for 48 years. Throughout her career she was most devoted to caring for her family, church and farm. Linda has been an instrumental matriarch at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she has been a member for over 65 years. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Annie Belle Crunk Lillard; brothers, Jimmy and Harry Lillard. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Danny Cotton; sons, Dan Cotton and Stephen Cotton (Gina); daughter, Christy Wampler (Kevin); grandchildren, Chloe, Beck and Annie Wampler, Breelyn and Callie Cotton; sister, Martha Jane Sledge (Jim). Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Monday, September 9, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Rev. Mary Kate Myers and Jim Taylor officiating. Interment, Triune Cemetery. Active pallbearers, Carl Scott, Billy Vincion, Mike Lillard, Paul Lillard, John Patillo, Paul Cotton, Tommy Cotton, Jim Sledge, Bubba Lillard and Beck Wampler. Honorary Pallbearers include the members of Wesley Chapel Church and Arno Home Demonstration Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel U.M.C., Meals On Wheels, or American Cancer Society. Visitation will be held 4-8:00PM Sunday and one hour prior to the service Monday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, 615-794-2289
