Lloyd Bennett

March 23, 1930 — August 16, 2017

Lloyd Price Bennett, age 87 passed away on August 16, 2017 in Franklin, TN. Native of Manchester, TN and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State College in 1953 with a double major in Business and Economics, where he received the award for Top Economics Student his senior year. After graduation, Mr. Bennett joined the United States Army, where he proudly served his country as a Captain during the Vietnam War and was awarded a National Defense Service Medal. After receiving an Honorable Discharge from his military service, he earned his MBA from the University of Alabama. Mr. Bennett had a long, successful career in business management and real estate. Preceded in death by parents, Clem O. and Edna Kesey Bennett. Survived by: wife of 63 years, Virginia Louise Bennett, daughters, Stacey Bennett (Rick) Naron and Jennifer Bennett (Bruce) Hines; grandchildren, Bennett Naron and Claire Hines all of Franklin, TN. A private family graveside service will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin, TN. Rev. Sarah Carty of Franklin First United Methodist Church officiating.
