Beers, Louis P., 64, born in Cedar Rapids, IA on May 21, 1950, to the late James H. and Marilyn M. (DeFore) Beers.
Louis was an avid music and movie lover and was a member of the "High Tides" band in the 1960's playing many venues and winning the "Battle of The Bands" contest in 1968 in Memphis, TN.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Marie (Funai) Beers. They were married in Richmond, Virginia June 7, 1975. Married for 39 years they traveled the world together and enjoyed life.
Also survived by his sister, Pat (Neil) Harman; brothers, Mark (Krissy) Beers, Dana (Sue) Beers and Jayme Beers; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Courtney, Ryan, Elijah and Alexa all of Omaha, Nebraska.
Louis always gave a lot happiness to those around him with laughter and love. He will be greatly missed by all!
A celebration of life service will be held 4:00PM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Gwen Pullen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
