Mrs. Lucy H. Morgan of College Grove, TN died May 31, 2015 from complications of heart disease. Preceded in death by her husband John T. Morgan and survived by 5 children; Luwin Morgan Lewis, John T. Morgan, Jr., Nancy Ruffner, Tina Morgan, Windle Morgan, and their spouses as well as countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known as a community leader who devoted her life to the betterment of others. She formed the Friendship Club in cooperation with the Nashville Mental Health Association in the 1960's and was a pioneer in the development of community based mental health services. In the 1970's she worked to introduce natural childbirth methods by teaching Lamaze Childbirth techniques and she became a labor/delivery RN. She also learned to fly and enjoyed years of aviation with her husband and family. Later in life, she focused on spiritual direction and started a non-profit spiritual retreat center called Cross Winds Contemplative Center. She traveled widely and was a lifelong learner. Her later years were spent enjoying the peacefulness and wildlife at her beloved home Cross Winds. Services will be conducted 3:00PM Monday, June 1, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Franklin, Father Wesley officiating. Visitation 12-3PM Monday at the church. Burial will be held in the family cemetery at Cross Winds in College Grove, TN.
