Mara Crafton

Mara Ella Crafton, age 90 of Franklin, TN passed away April 16, 2019. Born in Williamson County, TN to the late Clarence M. & Ary Smithson Smith. She was a 1946 Graduate Franklin High School where she played on the basketball team. For many years she and her twin sister, Ellen Gardner visited area nursing homes in Franklin. In her later years she was a fulltime homemaker. Ella was a former employee of Middle TN Electric Membership Corp. She was a member of Heritage Church of Christ. She was also the past chairman of the Clothing Room, Fourth Ave. Church of Christ. Ella is preceded in death by seven siblings. She is survived by her son, Edward Smith Crafton; twin sister, Ellen Gardner and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday, April 19, 2019 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Steve Blackman and Perry Cotham officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Tim Hill, Greg Mashburn, Wayne Harris, Mike Jones, Bucky Sullivan, Bill Wallace and Bobby Ginn. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Heritage Church of Christ.
