Crabtree, Marian Frances Frazier died January 14, 2014 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, surrounded by her loving family. Marian was born in Port Arthur, TX on August 2, 1933. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and AB Frazier and her husband of 57 years, William H. "Bill" Crabtree, Sr. She is survived by daughter Cynthia C. (Ed) Lowery; four sons, William Harrison (Sandra) Crabtree, Jr. of Franklin, Robert F. Crabtree, Sr. (Alice) of Cookeville, TN, Reaves M. (Helen) Crabtree, Sr. of Birmingham, AL, Richard D. (Allison) Crabtree of Anniston, AL; grandchildren, Elizabeth L. (Ryan) Saffle, J. Harrison Lowery, William H. (Sharon) Crabtree III, Levi B. (Meg) Crabtree, R. Frazier Crabtree, Jr., Lauren C. Mitchell, Lindsey C. (Jason) Morgan, Cara C. (Jeffrey) Groce, Reaves M. Crabtree, Jr., John S. Crabtree, Brianne C. (Austin) Morse, Blaire E. Crabtree, Brian R. Crabtree, thirteen great-grandchildren and her sister Eunice Frazier Talbot of Shreveport, LA. Marian attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA. Her passion for music led her to serve as drum major of the university marching band. She moved to Tennessee when she married Bill Crabtree in December 1952. She spent all of her life in service to her family and community. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Franklin First United Methodist Church - The Horace Edgemond Sunday School Class, The United Daughters Of The Confederacy -Chapter One, The Order of the Eastern Star, The Harpeth Valley Garden Club, and Bible Study Fellowship Women's Day Class Nashville, TN. She also served on the American Cancer Association Board of Directors. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 16th at Franklin First United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. with visitation before the service beginning at 9:30am in Fellowship Hall. Family and friends will gather at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayetteville, TN at 3:00pm for the burial. Active Pallbearers are Harrison Lowery, William Crabtree III, Levi Crabtree, Frazier Crabtree, Jr., Reaves Crabtree, Jr., John Crabtree, and Brian Crabtree. Honorary Pallbearers: Nancy Teasley Rickey, The Horace Edgemond Sunday School Class, Dr. Robert Miller and staff, Dr. Vandana Abramson and staff, NHC Home Health Care Staff, and Home Helpers and Staff. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Franklin First United Methodist Church Building Fund, Franklin, Tn, Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center for Research, Nashville and Alive Hospice of Nashville.
