Marilyn K. Byrd

Marilyn K. Byrd, age 78 of Springfield, TN passed away on January 25, 2025 in Nashville, TN. She was born in Allen Park, MI to the late Edgar and LeaVerne Burton. Marilyn dedicated 45 years working in the medical transcription field. She was a proud U.S. Navy spouse to her husband Michael. In her free time, she loved line dancing and bowling, but most of all spending time with her family. She was a great mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and soul. She gave all of her heart, always lifting others up and seeing the best in people, no matter the circumstance. Her eternal optimism was a light that guided her loved ones, even in the toughest of times. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Byrd and brother, Lloyd Burton. She is survived by her children, Dave (Deb) Sisk, Dan Sisk, Scott (April) Byrd, Jennifer (Jim) Gatham; grandchildren, Danny, Jr., Stephen (Desiree), Heather (Brett), Taylor (Dahir), Andrew, Tyler, Kyle, Wyatt, Nash, Raegan; great grandchildren Jamie, Rylee, Samuel, Charles, Ibi, Daya, and Watson; as well as numerous other family members. A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in honor of Marilyn.
