Marion Simmons

Mr. Marion Lamar Simmons, age 85 passed away Monday Jan. 11, 2016. Resident of Brentwood and formerly of San Antonio, TX. Member of Rolling Hills Community Church and former member for forty years and deacon of Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, TX. Retired after 36 years of service with Diamond Shamrock Oil and Gas. He was an avid Spurs fan and loved playing golf. He was dedicated to his family with a kind spirit and will be dearly missed. Survived by: wife of 58 years, Gaynelle Simmons; son, Jeff (Lisa) Simmons; daughter, Kathy (Dennis) Blythe; grandchildren, Grace, Mabry & Kate Simmons, Bekah & Brayden Blythe. Funeral services will be conducted 10 AM, Thursday Jan. 14, 2016 at Rolling Hills Community Church. Visitation will be 4-7 PM on Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Rolling Hills Community Church or Justice and Mercy International. A memorial service will be held in San Antonio at a later date.
