ALEXANDER, Mrs. Martha Ladd age 92 of Franklin, TN passed away on July 14, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Claude H. Alexander; parents, William P. Ladd, Sr. and Stella Smithson Ladd; brothers, Goldie Gilbert Ladd, William P. Ladd Jr., Alfred S. Ladd, Thomas Edward Ladd; sister, Mary Kate Zimmerman and son, William Claude Alexander. Survived by son Jerry Wayne (Jo) Alexander; grandchildren, Terryl Ann (Anthony) Hicks, Elizabeth Ann (Neil) Galyon; step grandson, Bryan (Delania) Conner; great grandsons, Jonathan Hicks, Matthew Hicks, James Emmitt Galyon; step great grandsons, Jacob Conner and Joshua Conner; brother, Bobby T. Ladd. Mrs. Alexander graduated from Franklin High School in Franklin, TN where she won several Athletic Medals. She attended Draughan Business College in Nashville, TN. She worked at Thalhimers Department Stores in Winston-Salem, N.C. and also worked for First Franklin Federal and Metropolitan Federal retiring after 15 years of service. Member of Epworth United Methodist Church and United Daughters of the Confederacy. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Chip Hunter officiating. Interment, Mt. Hope Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bob Bowen, Steve Ladd, Larry Ladd, Jimmy Hughes, Rick Warwick and Tom Giddens. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Randall Finken of Toledo, OH, Steve Meyers and Rick Saunders both of Winston-Salem, N.C., Anthony Hicks of Franklinton, LA and Neil Galyon of Slidell, LA. Memorials may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church.
