Maureen Jeter

Maureen Jeter, age 68 of Franklin, TN passed away October 4, 2017. Born in New York to the late Jerald and Margretta Ellison. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a kind, giving and fun-loving wife, mother, grammy and friend. She graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1971 and enjoyed a long career teaching elementary school. She was a member of Christ Community Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was always up for an adventure, loved spending time in the Smoky Mountains and the Jersey shore as well as taking day trips with her husband, Jere. Her family would like to thank Dr. Cindy Calisi and the staff at Heritage Medical Associates Grassland for their outstanding care over the last several years.
She is survived by her husband, Jere Jeter; daughter, Elizabeth (Rusty) Rutledge; son, Paul (Autumn) Jeter; grandchildren, Aubrey, Carter, Andrew, Benjamin and Hope Rutledge; Cooper and Graham Jeter. Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00PM Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home and at 10:00 AM Monday October 9,2017 at Christ Community Church. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Church in Franklin, TN. Pastors Mike Smith and David Cassidy will officiate. Memorials may be made to Hope International at hopeinternational.org.
