Megan Fitzgerald

Megan Marie Fitzgerald, age 17 of Franklin, TN, passed away due to injuries sustained in an accident. Megan was a senior at Independence High School scheduled to graduate. She had earned an Excellence full tuition scholarship to Southern Illinois University specializing in Biomedical Engineering. Her goal was to be a prosthetist. She was a year round swimmer for the Excel Swim Program and served as captain for the high school swim team. Survived by: Marty and Melissa Fitzgerald of Franklin, TN; sister, Sarah Fitzgerald of Clarksville, TN; brother, Tyler (Emily) Fitzgerald; nephew, Levi Fitzgerald all of Ft. Bragg, NC; grandparents, Gerald and Susan Fitzgerald of Columbia, TN, Paul and Maria Hess of Sterling, IL, and other loving family members. Visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 PM and a Prayer Service at 4:30PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Combat Wounded Veteran Challenge which is an organization to improve the lives of our wounded or injured veterans by assisting them in various areas including treatment of Orthotics and Prosthetics for swimming and diving.
