Michael Hobson Akers, age 20 of Thompson's Station, TN passed away January 14, 2016 in Knoxville, TN. Graduate of Father Ryan High School Class of 2013. He was a Junior at the University of Tennessee. Survived by parents, Timothy & Diane M. Akers; sister, Emily Akers; grandparents, Mike & Emily Menyes; uncles, Mike Menyes, Richard Menyes, William Akers, Jr. and Mark Akers; aunts, Kathy Menyes, Kathy Krause-DiBello, Sheri Menyes, Susan Akers, Jean Akers and Teresa Akers. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Father Joe McMahon celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7PM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to the University of Tennessee General Scholarship Fund or to Father Ryan High School.
