Michael Reid Davis, 27, of Franklin, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 7th at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a courageous two-year battle with brain cancer. He is survived by his son, Hayden Reid Davis of Murfreesboro and his father, Michael Davis (Lisa) of Nashville; brothers Adam Levine (Megan) of Elgin, Illinois, Aaron Levine (Julie) of Charleston, South Carolina and stepbrother Marty Worsham of Nashville; aunts Ellie Hinseth (Richard) of Rapid City, South Dakota, Lela Mokrousov and Mary Ellen Collins (Jim) of St. Charles, Illinois; cousins Jeannine, Jack and Brian Mokrousov of Elgin, Illinois and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen M. Davis, and his uncle, Jack Mokrousov.
Reid was a water restoration specialist and was licensed as an insurance adjuster. His greatest joy was spending time with his son, Hayden, and his many lifelong friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On Sunday, October 27th at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Jeff Yohe will lead a celebration of Reid's life at his church, The Church of God of Murfreesboro, 2011 St. James St. in Murfreesboro. A meal for everyone will be provided after the service at the church.
