Mildred Garrett

GARRETT, Mrs. Mildred Virginia Woodard, age 89 of Brentwood, TN, went to be with our Lord early Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013. Mildred loved her family. A Williamson Co. native, she was preceded in death by her husband Floyd W. Garrett; son, Larry Garrett; parents, Grover & Evalena Chester Woodard; siblings, Edward & Robert Woodard, Lena May Whitehurst & Lucille Tucker. Survived by children, Evelyn (John) Shane of Spanaway, WA, Sharon (Gordon) Fisher of Nashville, TN, Jeff (Carol) Garrett of Vandergrift, PA, & Tim Garrett of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren; Emily (Jason) Fisher Noteboom, Holly Fisher, John (Dori) Shane, Jr, Sherri (Mike) Shane Anastasi, Shelly (Dennis) Shane Abel, & Elya (Roman) Shane Kushner; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson & special friend, Billie Sisco. She poured out her love on us. She will be greatly missed. A charter member of Walker Memorial Baptist & Brentwood Baptist, she served in their ministries. She worked as a freight clerk in the trucking industry in Nashville. Services will be conducted 2:00pm Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10am-8pm Wednesday and 10am-2pm Thursday. Burial Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: family & friends. Honorary Pallbearers: Joy Sunday School Class.
