Mr. Charles Harris

October 28, 1927 — November 8, 2013

HARRIS, Mr. Charles E., passed on November 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 28, 1927 in Maury County, Charles was married to his surviving wife, Anne Harris, for over 62 wonderful years. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ, Charles committed his life to serving others. During World War II, he served in two branches of the U.S. military: the Army in the South Pacific and the Air Force (MATS) at Goose Bay Labrador and Baffin Island. He then devoted years of workmanship to E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Spontex in Columbia, TN. Upon retirement, Charles dedicated his time to the Volunteer Auxiliary of Williamson Medical Center and to his family whom he so dearly loved. Charles is survived by his wife Anne; daughters Jan (Don) Cyr of Nashville and Jeri (Mike) Cameron of Franklin; grandchildren Jonathan Cyr of Los Angeles, Jeremy (Anne Claire) Cyr of Nashville, and Beth and Catie Cameron of Nashville; and precious grandchildren, Charlotte and Malone Cyr. Visitation will be today, Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home in Franklin, with service and internment immediately following at the same location, Dan Cottrell officiating.
