HOWARD, Mr. Charles Tom, age 65 of Nashville, TN, November 1, 2010. Graduate of Sikeston High School in Sikeston, MO; received his Mechanical Draftsman certification from Draughon's Junior College in Nashville, TN ; completed CAD Drafting I & II at Nashville Tech; attained the highest rank available in the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout; served his country in the armed forces as an Army Reservist from 1966-1970; recognized as a Rifle: Sharpshooter and was released with a Honorable Discharge; he enjoyed a successful career as an engineering technician/draftsman and assisted in site planning and layout for Wal-Mart and Kmart Corporations; he assisted with the design and drafting of the water and sewer lines for Percy Priest Lake; a gifted musician on many wind instruments and during high school earned multiple trophies for drag racing; later in life he became an avid bowler, pool player & tournament dart player and was named President of the Greater Nashville Darting Association; enjoyed boating, water skiing and listening to music; had hopes of retiring to Florida. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence Tom & Helen Arnold Howard. Survived by daughter Tracy Howard (John) Snow of Thompson's Station, TN; grandchildren, Grace, Tom & Sam Snow; sister, Anne Howard Cole of Houston, TX; brother, Dale Howard; cousin Charlie (Ruth) Hunze all of Girardeau, MO. Memorials may be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission, Lustgarten Foundation or Alive Hospice. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
