Mr. Claude Payne, Sr.

PAYNE, Mr. Claude Elbert, Sr., age 90, of Burwood Community passed away December 11, 2010. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. Preceded in death by parents, Robert L. and Eliza Missouri Bishop Payne and grandson, Michael Payne. Survived by wife of 69 years, Lila B. Payne; sons, Claude E. (Cynthia) Payne, Jr., Dennis L. (Georgi) Payne and Chuck (Kathey) Payne; brother, Ray (Charolotte) Payne; eleven grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 10AM Monday, December 13, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with full military honors. Mitchell Karnes will officiate. Interment 3PM Monday, Atwood Cemetery, Atwood, TN. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Walker Memorial Seniors Sunday School Class. Memorials may be made to Walker Memorial Baptist Church, 1350 West Main St., Franklin, TN 37064.
