Mr. Clyde Lancaster, Sr.

LANCASTER, Mr. Clyde Hale, Sr. age 83, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at his residence in Franklin, TN after a short battle with cancer. Clyde was in the shoe business for over 45 years including Family Booterie in Green Hills for over 37 years and owner of Treat Your Feet in Franklin and Nashville Flea Market. After retiring from the shoe business, he worked at Sam's Wholesale Club as a Retail Membership Salesman. Dedicated Christian, a deacon of the Walker Memorial Baptist Church and a committed Gideon for more than 25 years. Charter member of the Oak Valley Baptist Church. Clyde was a loyal husband, an astonishing father, Papa and a great grandfather that led by example. Proudly served as a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. Survived by: devoted wife of 56 years, Betty Jean Lancaster; children, Vicki (Doug) Brinsko, Kevin (Cheri) Lancaster & Clyde Hale (Cindy) Lancaster, Jr.; grandchildren, Austin (Nicole) Lancaster, Clyde Hale (Heather) Lancaster III, Britni (Kevin) Pflieger, Ryan (Brittni Hutson) Lancaster, Amanda Brinsko, Carli (Chad Padgett) Lancaster, Ashley & Alexis Brinsko; great grandchildren, Karlie, Avery, Ellie, Bryson, Katelynn & Kinley; brother, John D. (Trudy) Lancaster. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Mitchell Karnes & Andy Wolverton officiating. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Nashville. Pallbearers will be Austin, Clyde Hale III, & Ryan Lancaster, Kevin Pflieger, Derek Horne & Scott Hazzard. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Gideons International to purchase Bibles in Papa's memory.
