Mr. Dennis Scales

SCALES, Mr. Dennis Ray, age 63 of Spring Hill, TN died September 15, 2013 died after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Evansville , IN in 1950. In 1955 his family moved to FL where he graduated from Haines City High School in 1968. In 1983 he received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. He was an avid softball player for 24 years; and also a lifetime gardener. He worked in the food industry for 43 years, most recently in Quality Control at Country Delite Farms Milk Plant in Nashville, TN. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in every day living. Dennis was a devoted husband of 32 years who loved his wife unconditionally. Above all, he was devout in his faith and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by parents, Herman & Mae Scales. Survived by wife, Terry Scales; sister, Linda; nieces, Lisa & Julie. Visitation will be 4-7PM Wednesday at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, TN. A memorial service will be conducted 11:00AM Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 33 Burton Hills Blvd. Nashville, TN 37215. Rev. S. James Bachmann, Jr. officiating.
