NEWTON, Mr. Edward Abraham, Sr., age 70 of Franklin, TN, January 10, 2010. Nashville Jr. Pro Football Area Leader, Board Member & Coach. Nashville Youth Incorporated Basketball Coach, Member of Elks Lodge & American Legion. Survived by: wife of 46 years, Linda Edgmon Newton, Franklin, TN; sons, Edward A. (Lisa) Newton, Jr., Hendersonville, TN & Kenneth E. (Emily) Newton, Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Josh Murdock, Jessica & Jacob Newton. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Franklin First United Methodist Church, Dr. Lynn Hill officiating. Interment Williamson Memorial Gardens. Nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to MTSU Athletic Dept. or Nashville VA Hospital Stem Cell & Bone Marrow Clinic or Franklin First United Methodist Church.
