CARTER, Rev. Elmer, age 86 of Franklin, TN formerly of Georgia, October 11, 2010. Ordained Church of the Nazarene Elder & Pastor for 41 years pastoring in several churches in Georgia. Following his retirement, served as Missions Director from 1993-2000. Preceded in death by wife, Verma Spence Carter after 59 years of marriage; son, Ralph Thomas Carter. Survived by: daughter, Beverly (Bill) Griggs; brother, Gary Carter; sisters, Myrtle Waddell, Addie Leigh Webb, Joyce Carter, Mazie Coons & Dorothy Carter; grandchildren, Carter (Jenny) Griggs & Suzanne Griggs; great grandchildren, Nolan & Ada Griggs. Graveside services will be conducted 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2010, Dr. Gary Henecke & Rev. Jack Galloway officiating at Williamson Memorial Gardens.
