BROWN, Mr. Fred David, age 74 of Franklin, TN formerly of Knoxville, TN, February 22, 2012. Served as Deacon at First Baptist and Cedar Springs Presbyterian Churches. Elder at West Hills Presbyterian Church. Bible Study Teacher for UT Students for 25 years. Boy Scout Troop Leader of the first physically challenged troop and also led another Boy Scout Troop at Lakeshore Mental Hospital. Survived by: wife of 53 years, Miranda Noe Brown; daughters, Miranda (Gregory) Brown, Rebecca (Hal III) Ernest, Lisa (Donald III) Pyburn & Ellen (Stewart) Satterfield; brother, L. Daniel (Jennifer) Brown; grandchildren, William, Christopher & Fred Brown, Kathleen Ernest, Andrea & Joshua Pyburn; niece, Eliza (Judd) Conatser; nephews, Henry (Jody) Brown & Fred McKelder Brown; caregiver, Doris Reynolds. Memorial service will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at West Hills Presbyterian Church, 7600 Bennington Drive, Knoxville, TN 37909, Mr. Mitchell Townley and The Rev. C. Michael Smith officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery. Due to family medical problems, the family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made to West Hills Presbyterian Church or Kathleen Manley Nursing Scholarship at Carson-Newman College, Jefferson City, TN 37760.
