ROBINSON, Mr. Fred, joined his Heavenly Father on July 6, 2013. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana, on June 6, 1946. He graduated from Washington High School in East Chicago, Indiana, in 1964. With bachelor and master degrees in education from Western Michigan University, he devoted his life to educating others. For more than 40 years, the loving force that was Fred Robinson served as a trusted teacher, counselor and life coach, and was known by his beloved students as "Mr. Fred." He was a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. In 1969, he was united in matrimony to Doris Bradford, the love of his life. As a resident of Franklin, Tennessee, he was a member of Born Again Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Nora Robinson, and grandsons, Joshua and Isaiah Senger. His extraordinary legacy is carried on by: his wife of 43 years, Doris Robinson; son, Dennis Robinson (Shelane); daughters, Kim Robinson, Kristin Robinson and Courtney Senger (John); grandchildren, Nykky Robinson, Kourtney Robinson, Landon Allen and Hannah and Faith Senger. He also leaves many family members to celebrate his memory: brother, Eugene Robinson (Janice); sister, Ardean Robinson; brother, Lawrence Robinson; sisters in love, Loris Bradford, Virginia Bradford and LaVern Hogan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Fred Robinson Youth Scholarship Fund to help educate underprivileged boys. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10 from 4p.m. - 7p.m at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, Saturday July 13 at 11:00a.m. CST in East Chicago, Indiana.
