Mr. Gailen Lawrence

Mr. Gailen Herbert Lawrence, age 79, of Spring Hill, TN, formerly of California, passed away August 26, 2012 at his residence. Born in Dinuba, CA to the late Philip & Geraldene Myrtle Gates Lawrence, he grew up in Kingsburg, CA. Mr. Lawrence is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, served as president of the FFA in high school, was a plasterer by trade, serving as vice president of Atlas Plastering where he was involved with building high rises, schools, hospitals, court houses, colleges, custom home communities, etc. in California and Nevada. He was a truck driver after the age of 60, and took care of his parents and family all of his life.
Preceded in death by his parents, Philip & Geraldene Myrtle Gates Lawrence and son in law, Maynard Gilbertson. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Hammett Lawrence of Spring Hill, TN; sons, Dwight Allen (Jackie) Lawrence of Colfax, CA, Douglas Randall Lawrence of Franklin, TN, Dean Philip Lawrence & Ryan R. Lawrence both of Fresno, CA; daughters, Diane Gayle Gilbertson of Columbia, TN, Darla Lee (Gary) Harper of Spring Hill, TN, Emily Kathleen Lawrence of Clovis, CA, Clarissa P. Jennings of Destin, FL & Charlotte Star Lawrence of Clovis, CA; brother, William "Bill" Lawrence of Fresno, CA; 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2998 Commonwealth Dr., Spring Hill, TN, Bishop Ronald Pennington officiating. Interment in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
