BURGNON, Mr. Herbert, died January 28, 2010. Survived by: wife, Barbara Lee Stephens Burgnon; daughters, Becky (Jim) Burgnon Horst of Wooster,OH & Sheri Stephens (David) Weaver; sons, Hobie (Beverly) Burgnon of Ada,MI & Mark Burgnon of Shelbyville,TN; brother, Col.Eugene L. Burgnon,Retired USAF of Heathrow,FL, grandsons, Jamie Horst of NYC, John (Sara) Horst, of Nashville,TN, Steffan Horst of Columbus, OH, Beau Burgnon, of Kansas City, MO and Alex Burgnon of Grand Rapids, MI. Preceded in death by wife, Marjorie Burgnon and son, James Burgnon.

Herb and his wife Marjorie moved to Franklin in 1978. He was employed by Georgia Boot Company as Vice-President for 26 years. He later served as Director of U.S. Sales for Jallatte Footwear based in Paris, France. He ended his career with HH Brown Footwear based in Hartford, CT. He served two terms as the President for the National Shoe Travelers Association and was also a honorary life time member of the Two Ten Foundation, a charity providing world wide assistance for members of the footwear industry.

Herb was born in 1927 in Erie, PA, a son of the late Edward R. and Edith P. Grey Burgnon.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, February 1, 2010 at Nolensville Cemetery, Dr. Lynn Hill & Dr. Gary Taylor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bridges Domestic Shelter, P.O. Box 1592, Franklin, TN 37065 or charity of your choice. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM Sunday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615 794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
