LANIER, Jr. Mr. James R. "Jim", age 80 of Franklin, TN, November 24, 2010. Well known business man, best remembered as former owner and operator of One Stop Market from 1965-1985 and General's Retreat Restaurant from 1974-1986; managing broker for the Franklin office of Bob Parks Realty; member & past president of Franklin Noon Rotary and recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award; Shriner & Past Master of Hiram Masonic Lodge # 7; former Sunday School Teacher at Franklin First United Methodist Church; past president of the Country Club of Franklin; avid golfer & fisherman and had a love for oil painting. Preceded in death by wife, Marie Brown Lanier and parents, James & Ruth Manker Lanier, Sr. Survived by sons, James R. "Bo" (Sandi) Lanier III and Chuck (Michelle) Lanier; daughters, Sharon Marie (Charles) Gore and Susie Boone; sister, Evelyn Lamb; grandchildren, Chad (Kelly) Gore, Chris Gore, Lacy, Lauren & Meagan Lanier & Brittany Boone; great grandchildren, Hayden, Anna & Dane Gore; step granddaughters, Sarah & Dee Thornton; nephew, David Lamb; special caregiver, Martha Golden. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Jim Taylor officiating. Interment, Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Chad, Chris & Charles Gore, David Lamb, Bo & Chuck Lanier. Memorials may be made to the Franklin First U.M.C. Building Fund. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Friday and one hour prior to service on Saturday at WILLIAMSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 615-794-2289. www.williamsonmemorial.com
