Mr. James Galen Pierce, age 71, of Spring Hill, TN, January 24, 2012. Member of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. Retired from Ford Glass Co. Donated many hours to community organizations, Imagination Library, Spring Hill Art Center, and local radio ( Spotlight on Spring Hill). Past President of Nashville Jaycees. Preceded in death by parents, Jim & Ruby Hollon Pierce and brother, Donald Hugh Pierce. Survived by wife of 53 years, Alice Dalton Pierce; sons, James Pierce & Galen "Sunny" Pierce; grandchildren, Chad (Amanda) Pierce, Austin Pierce & Adam Pierce; step grandchildren, Cory Lane & Megan (Phillip) Quillen; great grandchild, Isabel Ruby Pierce; step great grandchild, Destiney Lane and special "Daughter", Kathy Thompson & family. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2012 at Spring Hill Presbyterian Church, 5344 Main St. Spring Hill, TN, Rev. David Sawyer officiating. Burial in Spring Hill Memorial Park. Active pallbearers, Adam, Chad & Austin Pierce, Darrell & Doug Pruitt, Dale Kinnard, and Cliff Hughes. Honorary pallbearers, David Pruitt, Cory Lane & past employees of Ford Glass. Memorials may be made to the Imagination Library & Spring Hill Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
