CRUTCHFIELD, Mr. Jan Lynn, age 74 of Hermitage, TN formerly of Franklin, TN. Successful songwriter that worked for many years in the music industry. His songs were recorded by various artists including Perry Como; Dean Martin and numerous country music artists. His more acclaimed songs were "Statue Of A Fool" which was recorded several times and "It Turns Me Inside Out" nominated by CMA as the Song Of The Year and several other songs by Lee Greenwood. Nominated twice for the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. He was credited with many gold and platinum albums. He celebrated life as a talented story teller with his music. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. A special thank you to the medical staff of St. Thomas 2nd Floor ICU. Preceded in death by parents, Forrest & Lorene Green Crutchfield & brother, Joe Ed Crutchfield. Survived by: daughters, Rose Lynn (Jack) Newberry, Janalyn (Daryl) Bornstein & Holly Jo (Chance) Walker; brothers, Jon Thomas Crutchfield & Jerry Don Crutchfield; sisters, Julia Lee Emberton, Jean Ann Crutchfield, Jenny Lou Perlman & Jane Ella Merry; five grandchildren & two great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2012 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ronnie Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or MDA.
