BOSS, Mr. Jerry L, age 75 of Franklin, TN, January 6, 2012 passed away at his residence. Born in Elkhart, IN and received his Masters Degree from Indiana University. Retired Lt. Col. with the U.S. Army with 22 years of service. Known throughout Middle Tennessee as the "Flag Man" who drove the patriotic van. He was the founder and President of Boss's Patriotic Products and a member of the National Flag Association. Member of Franklin Rotary at Breakfast where he was active in starting the FISH program, member of Cemetery Association of Tennessee, member of Hillsboro Presbyterian Church where he was The Kahuna of the Thursday Morning Men's Group at the church. Jerry had an infectious laugh that will remain in our hearts forever. Preceded in death by parents, John B. and Mabel Boss and brother, Beryl Boss. Survived by wife of 50 years, Peggy J. Boss, Franklin, TN; son, Greg Boss (Kim Mullin), daughter, Lisa Boss (Ron) East, grandchild, Carson East all of Nashville, TN; brother, John (Mary) Boss, Walnut Creek, CA and sister in law, Barbara Boss, Elkhart, IN. The family would like to thank the staff of Guardian Hospice and Caring Senior Service, especially Cindy and Margaret. Celebration of Life Services will be conducted 10:30AM Friday, January 13, 2012 at Hillsboro Presbyterian Church, 5820 Hillsboro Rd., Nashville, TN, Dr. Nancy McCurley officiating.. Interment to follow with full military honors at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2:00PM.
